Job Description
We are seeking a strong Culinary leader to be the #2 to our amazing Executive Chef! We need someone positive, with a strong work ethic, who enjoys every aspect of farm-to-fork food preparation. Do you have a true love for the craft? Do you love rural, destination locations? Do you enjoy the outdoors and outdoor activities? We need you!!
Executive Sous Chef Qualifications:
- 3+ years as an Exec Sous, CDC, Banquet Chef, or Sous Chef in a Luxury Hotel setting
- Experience with Banquets and Catering including weddings and corporate events
- Experience with farm-to-fork food preparation including whole animal butchery preferred
- Experience with purchasing, scheduling, and managing kitchen financials
- Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Strong desire to live and work in a rural destination, love for the outdoors!
- Strong kitchen Spanish speaking skills highly preferred
- Must have a current driver's license
Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Manage the culinary team including scheduling, hiring, training, and discipline
- Purchase and provision food and culinary supplies
- Participate in production including working banquets, events, or the line as needed
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and contribute to the vision for the culinary program
- Other duties as assigned
