Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee guest services and create excellent customer service experiences 
  • Mentor, develop, and discipline direct reports
  • Financial accountability for restaurant performance (sales, controllable costs, etc)
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards in accordance with NYC DOH
  • Effectively interview, hire, and train an amazing team of service-focused people
  • Able to create and implement SOPs to improve efficiencies and overall operations

Restaurant General Manager Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of NYC restaurant management experience in a full-service environment
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor team members
  • Enjoys encouraging and rewarding excellent behaviors, modeling the standards expected from their team
  • Previous experience with managing multiple revenue streams (dine-in, pick-up, delivery, 3rd party platforms)
  • Excellent written and communication skills
