Job Description

As an Assurance Senior, you will play a crucial role in leading audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Leadership: Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring they are executed efficiently and complying with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Client Relationship: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and addressing client concerns and inquiries.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments, substantive testing, and analytical procedures to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated on accounting and auditing standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to engagements.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review complex audit workpapers, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to firm standards.
  • Quality Control: Review and evaluate the work of junior team members, ensuring the quality and accuracy of audit procedures and deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements and contribute to developing audit methodologies.
  • Client Advisory: Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Professional Development: Pursue professional certifications (e.g., CPA) and train to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred ability to sit for the CPA exam.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in external auditing.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
